The program develops my breadth and depth of knowledge and understanding in key areas including: health, forensic, work, and positive psychology. I am also gaining transferable skills including analysis of quantitative and qualitative data analysis and Master's level research skills.
In this program, i develop an understanding of psychological theory, research skills, and psychological techniques necessary to be successful in the field of psychology.
In this course, i gained knowledge and skills to support communities so that they identify their needs as well identify their local skills and resources so that they develop themselves. Basically, the course assisted me in gaining skills to network and empower communities.
Ths course provided me with a background in the legal fundamentals, appropriate skills and practical experience necessary in the field of law.
Work & Experience
The summary of my JD is to lead, manage, and develop the organisation as its chief executive, ensuring effective delivery of programmes and services to children and young people, families, and communities within the frame of the international SOS Children’s Villages organization’s vision, mission, values, and strategy. I am also responsible for seeking government subsidies and funding, international/national grants as well as through fundraising maximize the financial self-sufficiency of the organisation according to the potential in the country. In addition, I am also responsible to ensure the effective overall direction, operations, and performance of the organisation, by developing and executing core programmes and financial strategies that lead to the sustainability of the organization. Furthermore, I lead and develop the organisation with the support of leadership (Board and Management), to ensure effective delivery of programes and services to programme participants.
I led the development of strategic directions in Programme Development at national level, framed by the SOS Children’s Village Programme Policy and other related policies. This means that i tool action through one integrated programme of child development in a caring family environment (families of origin; SOS families, other alternative family-based care options) and through programme interventions (direct essential services; capacity building; programme local advocacy in the fields of care, education and health)
I was responsible for the implementation of a human rights project which was funded by European Union. This means that i ensured the management of the implementation of the project plan and the management of the budget.
Ensured the implementation and monitoeing of the SAfAIDS country office plans and managed the SAfAIDS budget.
I ensured that support groups and programme locations were built their capacity to ensure their sustainability.
I managed all implementation plans for all 4 regions of the country. I was also responsible for monitoring their budgets as well.
