East Avenue Medical Center December 03, 2020 – PresentEast Avenue Medical Center is a tertiary level government hospital located in Quezon City , Philippines. The hospital contains 1,000 bed capacity thus making one of the leading and referral hospital for trauma and emergency cases in the country. Designated by the Department of Health (DOH) as a training and teaching center, the hospital provides appropriate training programs, materials and facilities that aim at providing its medical and non-medical staff with opportunities for  professional development and competency-building. I have been working with this hospital in the past 2 years and have honed my experience as a Radiographer. In the department, we are assigned into different areas such as General Radiography, C arm in Operating Room, Portable xray for different wards, Fluoroscopic Procedures and CT scan procedures. Performing variety of medical diagnostic and interventional therapeutic purposes with the advance equipment establish a huge development for a Radiographer like me in this modern days.I am a hardworking Radiographer and a driven individual who isn’t afraid to face different challenges in the field. I am able to practice my independent judgement and significant professional knowledge in performing clinical task. Its is my job to operate different Radiographic Modalities in different area of the department to provide the quality images. Most of the time I am responsible in preparing patients for radiologic procedures. Assess the patient prior to the examination and provide proper factor that depend on patient body habitus. Escort patients to dressing and examination rooms, provide verbal or written instructions and assist patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed. Explain procedures most specially the radiographic examination with the use of contrast media and observe patients to ensure patient care, safety and comfort during the examination. I always maintain clean and sterile environment for patient and medical staff. I ensure operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer instruction, troubleshooting malfunctions and calibration. I always ensure the correct patient information and examination despite of working in a fast paced environment.Duties and Responsibilities: Take x-rays following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety. Perform Special Procedures such as Esophagogram, Modified Barium Swallow, T- Tube Cholagiogram, Upper Gastro Intestinal Series, Small Intestinal Series, Proximal and Distal Colonogram, Cystogram, Antegrade and Retrogade Nephrostogram. Performs radiographic examination in different ward such as ER, OR, NICU, ICU, PACU, PICU , COVID ward and Burn Unit. Perform CT Scan Plain and with Contrast Procedure. Operate C Arm Machine in Operating Room. Conduct proper Quality Assurance of the images before uploading to the system. Performs radiographic procedures as prescribe by Radiologist in accordance with the principle of ALARA. Assist Radiologist and Physicians in performing special and invasive procedures. Prepares relevant reports, patient request and pertinent documents for physician and Radiologist interpretation. Ensures radiographic procedures, positions and views for trauma patient. Ensures cleanliness and orderly set up in the area of assignment. Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and colleagues. Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order. Report equipment malfunctions to Chief Radiologic Technologist and Medical Physicist. Perform related administrative duties including completing necessary forms, labeling disc and envelopes and maintaining procedure logs. Retrieve radiologic orders from and input related data into the electronic medical record. Maintain adequate radiologic supplies. Serve as a back-up for clinical team members as needed by controlling patient flow. Perform all other duties as assigned. Participates in Continuing Professional Education Activities.

Bermudez Polymedic Hospital Inc. September 12, 2016 – November 19, 2020Bermudez Polymedic Hospital Inc. is a multispecialty hospital located in Caloocan City, Philippines with the mission of serving the community through the promotion and maintenance of health and prevention of diseases and continue the legacy in providing appropriate care. The hospital aims to provide quality health services with dedicated and trusted health care professionals.My 4 years experienced in this hospital cultivate my skills and broaden my knowledge in Radiography, Sonography and document processing for xray machine and supplies. During my first year as a Radiographer in this hospital, rotating Sonologist trained me the basics of General and Obstetric Sonography. With their guidance, protocols and techniques on acquiring the best images I was able to learn Sonographic scanning. Thus my rotation include operating and assisting the Sonologist in ultrasound procedures.It is my job to operate Xray machine and Ultrasound machine to produce images for medical and diagnostic purposes in conjunction with the referring physicians and Radiologist order. It is my task to assess the patients and their clinical requirements to determine proper radiographic and sonographic technique. I was able to practice significant professional knowledge in performing clinical tasks and producing quality radiographs with maximum radiation safety measures. I am accountable in preparing the patient for xray procedures, ultrasound procedures, scheduling for patient that needed bowel preparation on their examination, maintaining clean and sterile environment and applies radiation principles at all times to ensure the safety of the patient, patient relative and staff. I ensure operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer instruction, troubleshooting malfunctions, updating the machine requirements for calibration, calling for repairs, monthly documentation of supplies, and evaluating new equipment and techniques. I respect patient confidentiality at all times and ensure all patient information are correct with the right procedure as requested.Duties and Responsibilities: Performs routine radiographic xray procedures and special procedures as per requested by requesting physician. Performs General and Obstetric Ultrasound procedures. Assist the Radiologist, Sonologist and patients in the procedure area including the preparation of all necessary materials needed before proceeding with special procedures. Performs radiographic procedures as prescribe by Radiologist and also in accordance with the principle of ALARA. Organize documents such renewal of xray license to operate, film inventories, xray and ultrasound accessories, supplies monthly update. Renewal and updating of Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) at the Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (PNRI) every 2 months for the Radiographer radiation safety measures in our department. Prepares relevant report, patient request form and other pertinent documents for physician and other Radiologist Interpretation. Perform related administrative duties including completing necessary forms, labeling films and film envelopes and maintaining procedure logs. Retrieve radiologic orders from and input related data into the electronic medical record. Ensures cleanliness and orderly set up in the area of assignment. Execute and implement other functions or activities that are applicable in the Department. Support on the implementation of values inline with the mission and vision of the hospital. Performs other related radiologic functions as maybe assigned. Participates in Continuing Professional Education Activities.
